Meet Tony Galluzzo 👋 He’s the owner of South Oakville Fit Body Boot Camp and host of the Fitness space. Eight years in, he reflects on what it took to build a community that truly champions its members.
Q. What’s something people might be surprised to learn about your business? People are often surprised to learn that we’re not just a gym — we’re a community. Most of our members say the accountability, coaching, and friendships they build here are what keep them coming back. It’s not about intimidating workouts or big egos; it’s about showing up, getting better, and doing it alongside people who genuinely care.
Q. What inspired you to start your business? Using these workouts to overcome my insecurities, low confidence and back issues
Q. As a local entrepreneur, what are you most proud of? The amount of lives we've changed in 8 years
Q. What’s the most notable hurdle you’ve overcome? Our economy and Covid
Q. What advice would you give to an entrepreneur who’s just starting? Do what you love! Start with a clear 'why' — something deeper than just making money — because that’s what will keep you going when things get tough. Be ready to adapt, listen more than you talk, and take consistent action even when motivation fades. And don’t try to do it all alone — find mentors, build a network, and take care of your health while you build your business.
Q. What about your business gives you the most satisfaction? The awesome people being helped
Q. What's the one book that actually moved the needle for your business? Sorry got 2 - Tiny Habits by B.J. Fogg & The Gap and The Gain by Dan Sullivan
