Live!@WestPlains presents a variety of outstanding concerts by emerging and established musicians in the cozy sanctuary at West Plains United Church in Burlington. Last fall, four great shows were presented! The Millgroove Jazz Quintet from Millgrove; the Rising Hedons folk duo from Paris, ON; CBC’s Tom Allen and Musicians presenting the story and music of J.S. Bach; and Charles Dickens Writes A Christmas Carol by Act Of Faith Productions, which was a fundraiser for Burlington Food Bank and the Compassionate Society.

A great line-up of concerts is now ready for you to enjoy in 2025! On February 23rd, a programme centred on the theme of gratitude will feature music performed by Burlington's own Effusion Chamber Ensemble, paired with poetry read by actors from KooGle Theatre. March 23rd's concert will showcase the engaging Burlington Welsh Ladies Chorus in a shared programme with the youth ensemble, Ilumini, from the Hamilton Children’s Choir, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary season. On May 18th, the superb violin-piano duo, Corey Gemmell and Benjamin Smith from Toronto, will perform Elgar’s violin sonata and Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess suite, before combining forces with the Burlington Symphony Orchestra String Quartet for the formidable Brahms Piano Quintet. A chamber music tour-de-force! On June 7th, Canada’s iconic musical comedy trio, the Arrogant Worms, will perform a laugh-out-loud show featuring timely new songs from their soon-to-be-released album, Canadian Famous!
