Call for Performers: Heart to Heart: A Variety Show Celebrating Passions
Are you a performer with a passion that lights up the stage? Do you have a talent that you are eager to share with an audience? We are thrilled to announce an open call for performers for our upcoming show, "Heart to Heart: A Variety Show Celebrating Passions."
About the Show
"Heart to Heart" is a vibrant and dynamic variety show designed to celebrate the diverse passions that drive and inspire us. From music and dance to comedy, poetry, and beyond, this show is a platform for performers of all kinds to showcase their unique talents and to connect with an enthusiastic audience.
Generally, this show will be a light-hearted look at ‘love’ – topic examples include:
I Family – Parents, child, sibs, etc., pets
II Couples/Romance
III Hobbies – sports, music, arts, activities
IV Other – Foods, Places, Job/Profession
Of course, we welcome all ideas.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a wide range of performers, including but not limited to:
• Musicians
• Singers
• Dancers
• Comedians
• Poets
• Magicians
• Visual Artists
• Theatre Performers
• Storytellers
• Puppeteers
• Improv
Whether you perform as a solo act or as part of a group, we welcome you to audition and share your passion with us. Please note this is a non-paying, non-Equity production.
Audition Details
Auditions will be held in September; exact date and location to be determined. Please present your act as you intend to perform it (no longer than 10 minutes). To schedule an audition time, send an email to [email protected] with your name, group name (if applicable), contact information (email at minimum, plus cell phone, if desired), and a brief description of your act. Performers will be notified whether they have been selected or not. Those selected will be given further details about rehearsals and the performance schedule.
Performance Date
The show will take place on Saturday, February 14 (matinee and evening) and Sunday, Feb 15, 2026 (matinee only) in the Oakville/Burlington area.
Rehearsals
There will be one or two run-throughs scheduled just before the show dates. All other rehearsals should be conducted by yourselves. Please ensure that you arrive at the run-throughs fully prepared.
