Lath art is a folk art form that uses strips of wood (lath) to create pictures, emphasizing the direction and color of the lath strips to define details and space, often with a rustic or primitive style.
These are some of the ones I have completed over the past few years. Each one is constructed from two 2x4’s, eight feet long ripped into this 1/8th in strips on a table saw. Then cut out on a jig saw, painted and assembled like a jig saw puzzle.
Has anyone else done these?
